Fibres
An Embroidery floss case is an ideal container to store fibers. Attach a sheet
of paper with fibre ideas to the lid and you have a handy reference.
Ideas for using fibre:
Write words
with it....
Take several strands and tie/stitch together to create letters. Write in cursive
or a block style.
Make a design: swirls, hearts, peace sign, flowers.
Use on
photo mats:
Add an eyelet to 4 corners, string fiber through two eyelets per side, tie/adhere
on back.
Layer 1/2" apart and cover corners only.
Create Photo mat 1 1/2' larger on one side and wrap with fibers. Add a charm
or tear and chalk an edge, if desired.
Stitch one edge or all four.
Stitch floral
stems or any shape.
Accent punches, die-cuts; add edging to anything!
Cut out letters, wrap them, then mat them. (could be solid or with spacing between
fiber wrapping). Mat on solid card stock for contrast.
Weave them for page accents.
Hang beads, charms, punches from brads, eyelets, mats.
Use to sew on buttons.
Wrap a square of cardstock.
Stitching on borders or diecuts.
Sew "X's" on anything matted.
Heat emboss a star brad then add fibre tail for a "falling star"
