PERSONAL
BIO...
Nic
Howard has been scrapbooking for 8 years and has recently
released a book titled That's Life, Finding
Scrapbooking inspiration in the Everyday.
In 2004 she was one of 10 winners in the USA Memory
Makers Masters competition.
Prior
to this she had won several smaller competitions,
has been published in various books and magazines
and participates in a number of international Design
Teams.
In her own words: I have been a scrapbooker for 8
years. I have blue tabs littering every corner of
my home, I have small handmade paper items in every
nook and cranny in my house. My children know exactly
where to find me if they call and I don't answer.
I find joy in the small things that used to pass me
by, and I have my camera ready to photograph them.
My children are 8, 6 and 3. As is true with many other
scrapbookers, they are the focus of many of my pages.
My husband Paul is extremely supportive, we make a
great team really, he is often the one that tells
me to"just stick it down, it's finished!".

CONFESSIONS!
( 90 Min)
Sponsors:
BasicGrey, CherryArte

Scrapbooking
isn't just about the events and the moments. It's
also about showing a little of our personalities so
that those that read our pages in the future know
who we really are.
The
best way to do it? Join Nic on a journey to unearth
those funny little habits and quirks that in turn
paint a picture of our personalities.
You'll
walk away from this class with a fun project and new
inspiration about the personal stories you'd like
to scrap.
This is by far the more involved of Nic's classes.
It uses a new 6 x12 album from BasicGrey and you play
around with various techniques to create something
interactive and in Nic's own words "downright
flippin fantastic"
It's an ambitious class but if you want to play with
the 6 x12 size this is a great class to start with,
although its so much more. Lots of product, great
end result.
Homework: Just photos... but Nic is being
a bit picky with this one - she wants you to get the
most out of your project!
Photos:
All of yourself - they dont have to be great pics,
just a range of fun pics of yourself, give the camera
to your kids or hubby, neighbour or perhaps some confused
complete stranger. Don't stress about this - any pics
will do - you can always replace them later anyhow.
Black & white preferred.

CONVERSATIONS!

Inspiration
doesn't flow easily for everybody. We sit with our
scrapbooking supplies around us, we have the perfect
photos of the subject we want to scrap, yet where
are the ideas for the journaling? Where is the inspiration
for a title? Often we find ourselves adding a quote
or not journaling on our page at all, when we really
wanted to tell more of a story.
So where is the story?
Through her writing of "That's Life" Nic
has enjoyed discovering many methods of undigging
the stories we could potentially tell in our pages.
Join Nic to discover one way of finding inspiration
in the everyday and complete a project to help you
implement the idea at home.
What to bring: Please bring your
traditional basic scrapbooking tools,
black ink pad.
No homework, no photos needed. Sponsored by Fancypants
designs and Finishing
Touches. This is going to be by far those most
relaxing "walk-out-with-a-cool-project-and-smile-on-my-face
class".

CONSTANT
REMINDERS (90 Mins)
Sponsors:
Queen & Co, Craft House

Not only do the things you do and say
form your personality, but so do the little things
around you. Grab 6 photos of items around the home
that are distinctly 'you' and join Nic in this project
based class.
This
class is perfect for anyone wanting to dabble in the
clear album arena. It's fun, it's learning how to
assemble an acrylic album, its smothered in Scenic
Route and Queen & Co felt.
What
to bring: Basic craft tools,
corner rounder, sandpaper, mini glue dots, tape runner
type adhesive (not liquid), black ink pad.
You
need to grab 6 photos that are distinctly you. Make
them black and white if you can, and able to be cropped
down from 6x4 to slightly smaller would be perfect.
Basically
this album can be about anything really. Relax, take
some pics of your fav things/fav people - the things
that we can associate with YOU. No other homework.
